Camp Avoda Legacy Society

"There's None that Can Compare"

Establish Your Legacy

Camp Avoda is a special place. It is a second home, a place where you grow up (yet stay young), a place that lives in your soul. An ageless brotherhood across generations. And, while for so many it seems a powerful force in our lives, the truth is, Avoda needs your support to exist.

It needs our lasting commitment to see beyond today, or next year. By joining the Legacy Society, you can make a future gift consideration to ensure that Camp is here not just for 10 or 20 more years, but for another 100 years.

Join us in ensuring a vibrant future for Avoda by making a gift in your will, trust, retirement account, or life insurance policy today. Your generosity will benefit generations of Avoda campers and staff and the Jewish community as a whole.

For many people, formalizing their gift can be as simple as naming Camp Avoda as a beneficiary of their life insurance policy or retirement account, or adding the following line to their will or trust: “I give and bequeath to Camp Avoda the sum of (choose one) $________ or_______% of my estate, or remainder of my estate.” Free legal support is available upon request.

Commonly Asked Questions

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST ME NOW TO BECOME A LEGACY SOCIETY MEMBER?

By including Camp Avoda in your will, trust, retirement account, or life insurance policy, you can make a gift that costs you nothing today. You can make a gift of any amount that suits your financial needs. We’re ready to work with you and your advisors to craft a gift plan that best meets your goals and objectives.

WHAT IS THE LETTER OF INTENT?

The Letter of Intent acknowledges your pledge to include Camp Avoda in your estate plan. By signing, you will join other dedicated members of our community who deeply value the impact that camp makes in the lives of children.

WHERE WILL THE MONEY GO?

Unless otherwise designated, Legacy Society gifts will go to the Camp Avoda Trust. This sole endowment fund for camp is managed by industry-leading professionals and grows over time. Unlike current use funds, our endowment serves as long-term peace of mind against the unforeseen, and can assist in realizing future essential capital projects.

Ultimately your gift will:

  • Make financial aid available to a growing number of families, ensuring access for children and families of all means.
  • Create opportunities for program development and expansion during the summer and throughout the year.
  • Ensure the upkeep, maintenance, and expansion of Camp’s buildings, from renovating/building new camper cabins and recreational facilities, to stewarding our beautiful grounds, forested areas, and lakefront.
